How do I get rid of this ingrown hair?

It's on my leg, and it HURTS. I tried to leave it alone, but eventually tried to dig it out with a needle. It didn't work because it's too deep. Now it's even worse from me poking at it. If I go to a clinic, will they get it out for me? What should I do? It looks horrible! :(
