I have an infection in my toe, is it still okay to go in a lake?

suggest you take a bottle of saline solution (use an old coke bottle and mix up a salt water solution) then take that with you. when you get out the lake use the water over the toenail... take some cotton wool and clean up... it will be fine to go and enjoy yourself! i had my toenails operated on and had to soak the "wound" in salt water every day for 2 weeks afterwards. i don't know why everyone is making such a huge deal and are saying no... i have lots of toenail infections and had both toenail operated on. its fine to go, have some fun!
