Does anyone know about periodontal disease?

Ok so my fiancee found out that he had periodontal disease. We found out at the end of april. Well they said he needed to get the deep cleaning surgery asap. They said it couldnt wait. Well they refered him to a college but with it being so close to summer break they wouldnt except him and we couldnt afford it either. Well we had no choice but to wait it out. They said if we waited the infection can spread to other parts of his body and cause other major problems. Well I am starting to get concerned because the last couple of days he has been exhausted, been getting the chills, and just very weak feeling. He also got some cysts in two different areas at the same time which is weird to me. But He got a real bad one on right armpit that has swollen up his whole armpit to about the size of an orange. Its huge. He also got an anal cyst but that already busted and nothing but pus is coming out of it. I do plan on taking him to the er this evening because im real concerned. But I am curious what others think. I know absess and cyst can be cause by ingrown hair or bacteria but I wonder if its from this infection. What do yall think? Isn't it weird how he got two in different area at the same time?
