Best & safest way to getting rid of hair "down there"(LADiES)?

I always keep my hair "downstairs" cut really really short, but now since it's summertimes i'd like to remove it completely! To get the best results, is it better to shave with a disposable razor & use shaving cream or should i use an electric one? What's the best way to avoid ingrown hairs & bumps? What is the aftercare routine?
